My Path to the work

Before I came into contact with The Work in 2004, I lived with suppressed anger and sadness. I didn't dare allow these feelings to surface for fear of conflict.

I wanted to live in peace with myself and others, but I just couldn't stop blaming others for my unhappiness. When my son was born, I began attacking my parents and brother for almost everything I considered wrong with myself and my life. I felt so depressed that I visited a family counselor and told her my story. She asked me the 4 questions.

When she asked me the question, "Can you know with absolute certainty that this is true?", I experienced for the first time that I couldn't really know.

The absolute truth - really?

Never before had I had such an inner experience. I had never questioned this "fact." I had considered it the absolute truth and held on to my pain. My life story.
After this session, I called the person, asked, and discovered that I had never truly listened, that I had believed my interpretation of a situation for 20 years and suffered greatly as a result. We're still in contact today.

Shortly after this profound experience, Byron Katie came to my area, and I attended a seminar.
It was so illuminating and life-changing that I attended "The School for The Work" and decided to participate in the certification program. This program has positively and lastingly enriched all areas of my life, including relationships, self-confidence, health, parenting, decision-making, fears, creativity, career, money, and dealing with death.

The Work in Difficult Situations

When my father died unexpectedly, I was happy that I was able to challenge my thoughts of grief with the help of The Work and that I found comfort and strength in doing so. I consider it a great blessing to have The Work as a tool to maintain peace and mental health, amidst the challenges life brings at different stages.

I have long searched for a path that brings me peace, and I find it by practicing The Work whenever I feel unrest and pain.
For me, The Work is a companion. Simple and effective.

I decided to make The Work my profession so that I can share this wonderful experience with as many people as possible.
