Sylvia's journey

             TO THE WORK

life is change

Change is unavoidable as Life is Change. Without Change, Live can't exist.
In those moments, when our life drastically changes and we cannot see that a new door has opened, change can become a huge challenge for us. The mind doesn't like uncertainty!

Change coming in the form of the loss of a loved one, an illness, a divorce, or a shift in your career can rock the bases of our existence. The sense that your old life is gone for good while the new one is not yet in sight can create deep distress if it isn't recognized and understood.

It's OK to be supported

For a long time, I believed I had to solve all my problems on my own. I thought that if I accepted support, I wouldn’t fully learn from the process. Thankfully, I was able to let go of that belief, and now I gladly welcome any help I can get. I personally work with a coach or facilitator for The Work of Byron Katie when I feel the need to explore deeply rooted beliefs or revisit places that were once experienced as traumatic. It’s like entering a dark room for the first time — it’s much kinder to myself to allow a friend holding my hand.

my own Journey

Over the past fifty years, I have studied a range of disciplines, in the field of Psychotherapy, Spirituality and Meditation including Core Process Psychotherapy, Zazen,  Transcendental Meditation, Vipassana to name only few. of them. I have studied with spiritual teachers like Sri Mooji, Eckhard Tolle, Adyashanti and many others. All of them point to the same truth, which I also find in The Work of Byron Katie.
What I so very much appreciate in The Work of Byron Katie is that it not only shows us the "goal"  but also gives us a guiding hand to walk the path to this goal.

When it was my turn to leave old paths behind, - and this happened more than one time - I was fortunate to have this wonderful tool (The Work) available which so profoundly helped me during this transformational process.
With my work, I want to make this tool available to all those who still suffer.

My personal experience with The Work and why it became the center of my Life-Coaching Practice today

I am sitting at my father's computer in Germany. Why? Because I have just lost my purse on the train to the airport - the purse that contained: my laptop, the iPhone I had purchased only few months ago, my German passport, my Green-card, my wallet with cash and credit cards and my flight tickets. For that reason, I am not actually sitting at my computer in the US but on my father’s old computer in Germany where I will write about how The Work of Byron Katie has impacted my life....
